PPA-CF:

Bambu PPA-CF is a premium fiber-reinforced PolyPthalAmide that delivers industrial-grade printing quality with precise 1:1 reproduction. It is renowned for its exceptional mechanical properties and reliable performance in humid or high temperature environments. PPA-CF is ideal for engineering applications, from mechanical prototypes to automotive components and more. Additionally, its board printer compatibility sets a new standard for professional engineering filaments.

Compatibility:

Bambu PPA-CF is compatible with P1S, X1C and X1E 3D printers. It requires an enclosure and a hardened steel nozzle. This filament is easier to use, printing smoothly at nozzle temperatures between 280°C and 310°C.

Features:

  • Superb Dimensional Stability:
    • Regardless of high temperatures or high humidity and other harsh application scenarios, the parts will retain its ultra-high dimensional stability.
  • Suitable for Underwater Use:
    • Bambu PPA-CF supports long term, stable use in humid environments, even underwater. It's absorption rate is 66% lower than normal PA6-CF and it maintains its stiffness and thermal properties over time.
  • Top-Tier Mechanical Properties:
    • The Stiffness of Bambu PPA-CF is almost twice the stiffness of Bambu PAHT-CF and PA6-CF.
    • The Strength of Bambu PPA-CF is about 40% stronger than Bambu PAHT-CF and PA6-CF.
  • High Heat Deflection Temperature:
    • Bambu PPA-CF deflects at 227°C. Bambu PAHT-CF and PA6-CF deflects at 194°C and 186°C respectively.

PPS-CF:

Bambu PPS-CF is a composite material made from carbon fiber-reinforced PolyPhenylene Sulfide. The combination of PPS resin and carbon fiber gives PPS-CF exceptional properties, including excellent resistance to solvents, corrosion, heat and flames. Additionally, it offers superior strength, stiffness and dimensional stability. This makes it a specialized engineering plastic that meets the demands of unique and challenging applications. PPS-CF can be printed on Bambu Lab X1E.

Features:

  • Ultra-High Heat Resistance:
    • PPS-CF boasts a heat deflection temperature of up to 264°C under 0.45MPa and can continuously operate at temperatures exceeding 200°C. This significantly outperforms normal PA-CF materials, which have maximum temperature around 190°C and 220°C. Its exceptional heat resistance ensures outstanding creep resistance, making PPS-CF ideal for demanding industrial environments and applications.
  • Flame Retardancy:
    • PPS-CF achieves a UL-94 V-0 flame retardant rating, distinguishing it in high-risk applications. The incorporation of carbon fibre enhances its flame-retardant properties beyond those of normal PPS, offering superior safety and reliability in critical areas such as electronics and automotive components. PPS-CF provides long-lasting durability and peace of mind in even the most demanding environments.
  • Solvent and Chemical Resistance:
    • PPS-CF offers outstanding solvent and chemical resistance, second only to PTFE. It remains virtually insoluble in any solvent below 200°C and exhibits exceptional resistance to acids, bases and salts under normal conditions. This makes PPS-CF the ideal choice for challenging environments where chemical stability is critical.
  • Ultra-Low Water Absorption:
    • PPS-CF itself has ultra-low water absorption. Its saturated water absorption rate is about 0.02% and maintains mechanical and thermal properties despite moisture absorption.
